Using only the best, ethically sourced leather, and combining traditional skills with modern design, Liz is a regular at independent markets across the region and is a maker in residence at the The Black Swan Arts Centre in Frome.

Fernhill Fibre

Fernhill Farm on the Mendip Hills is home to the Yeo Valley flock, made up of Romney X Shetland sheep selected for organic and carbon-sequestering wool. Their lovely woollen products include scarves, cushions, blankets and clothing, as well as collaborations with craftspeople including Yuli Somme of Bellacouche and Ria Burns Knitwear.

Goats of the Gorge

Our friends at Goats of the Gorge make wonderful skincare products with the help of the goats from the award-winning Kerborne dairy herd in Chew Stoke, using excess milk that would otherwise go to waste. Their luxurious soaps, shampoos, bars and lotions are brilliant for sensitive skin and make perfect presents.

The difference being each one is ingeniously designed to provide homes for bees, birds and bats. With so many species in decline, Green&Blue are making a hugely positive impact on our environment and are a credit to the West Country.

Our clever Somerset neighbours Kerry and Jeremy Dodd turn “ugly” and slightly damaged organic produce into some of the best jams, chutneys and preserves we’ve ever tasted. Using traditional recipes and small-batch methods, their eco-friendly creations have already won loads of national food awards.

Run from a farm in the Mendip hills, Lyonsleaf is local family business who make natural, affordable, cruelty-free skincare products using organic herbs they grow themselves. All of their creations are made very carefully, in small batches, and they have balms, creams and kits to suit all skin types.

Inspired by her love of herbal folklore, our friend Charlie and her team make natural, organic skincare products, many of them using locally grown organic yarrow, a hedgerow herb thought to have powerful healing properties. Everything MOA makes comes in beautiful packaging featuring Charlie’s own charming illustrations.

Sharpham Park

Sharpham Park is a 300-acre historic park on the edge of the Somerset Levels, dating back to the Bronze Age. These days, it’s best known for its responsibly farmed, natural food – think top-notch baking flour and mueslis – much of which centres around the farm’s fabulous organic spelt.

Somerset Lavender is a small farm based in Faulkland, Somerset, run by two generations of the Green family. They make the most wonderful essential oils from lavender grown on the farm, which they turn into a host of beautifully-scented products, from candles to pillow mist.
